Castillo Carver Bio
Bobby Castillo and Bo Carver met in 2002 and began working together in a supportive cast. From the beginning, they had an immediate chemistry and high respect for each others talent. Over time Bobby and Bo had discussions about their desires and hopes in their music career and where they wanted to go. Four years into it they ventured out on their own and in the summer of 2006 they released their debut CD. The CD includes five songs, four of which are originals writt ...moreen by Bo and Bobby. Since then, they have written more material which they will record and produce themselves. The Castillo/Carver Duo is an exciting, progressive, entertaining duo, which brings energy and life to every performance with a mix of their originals, Classic Rock, Blues, and Progressive Country. Bo and Bobby know how to liven up the night. Nobody has ever left a show without a smile and having a good time. Bobby sings lead and backup vocals and plays lead guitar with the occasional keyboard. Bo also sings lead and back up vocals and plays bass guitar and occasionally the mandolin. Together along with their drummer LD, they have an AWESOME and Unique sound. They hope that you will get a chance to see them in concert soon- you will not be disappointed.
Bo Carver started out at an early age with his interest in music and desire to take an active part in playing an instrument. At the age of 9 he began playing saxophone in elementary school and continued to do so until graduation. At the age of 12 Bo began to play the Drums and Guitar. After a few years of high development on these instruments, Bo joined a Contemporary Christian Group that traveled around the Country. Bo was now a professional and was considered an excellent talent with the guitar and drums by his peers. After several years in the Christian Music field, Bo and a partner started a band that played Pop, Rock, and instrumental Jazz Fusion Music; they became very popular around the Houston area. A few years later Bo moved to the DFW area to begin playing with his brother Ken Carver. They began playing Top 40 Country and Classic Rock. Over the years Bo was able to accomplish some wonderful and exciting things in his musical career. Some of these things included; USO Military tour of South Korea, sharing the stage with Blake Shelton and Daryl Dodd, opening for Willie Nelson, Mark Chestnut, Chris Cagle, Marty Stewart, Fabulous Thunderbirds, Sonny Burgess, and many more. Two Years later Bo joined forces with Bobby Castillo and together they created a powerful and successful sound. They are a very special and magical duo playing a Red Dirt style of music. They write and perform their own music as well as a high-energy mix of Texas music, Classic Rock, and progressive Country. Bo claims that even though he has had some good times with past experiences, being the Carver of the Castillo/Carver Duo is the best times in his career.
Bobby Castillo is from Brady, Texas; a small town in the heart of the state. Bobby has been playing guitar since he was age 5. He has definitely met his calling, he is now an accomplished, and very seasoned guitarist. When Bobby plays it is obvious that the music moves through him rather than him running through the music. He is very passionate about his God given gift and uses it to move people. Guitar is just one of the instruments Bobby plays. When he was in high school he played the baritone in the band. Since high school he has taken up several other instruments, the piano, drums, bass guitar and mandolin to name a few. The guitar stills remains to be his first love. Since year 2000 Bobby has lived in the Dallas area. From the smallest venues to the world famous Billy Bob’s in Fort worth, Texas, Bobby has had the opportunity to share stages with several well known artists such as: Blake Shelton, Chris Cagle, Ray Price, Jason Bolan and the Stragglers, Roger Kreager, Sonny Burgess, Moe Bandy, Rhett Akins, Jeff Carson, Daryl Singletary, Ricky Lynn Greg, Chad Brock, Mickey and the Motorcarts, and The Great Divide. In 2002 Bobby met Bo Carver the other half of the Castillo Carver duet, and by 2006 Bobby and Bo started playing together as a duo throughout the state. The chemistry and comradery between Bobby and Bo shines through every note they play. Even though Bobby has played with several artists, Castillo Carver is by far the best band Bobby has been a part of. God Bless you and thank you for taking the time to read our bio. less |
