the pick i used for that painting is actually taken during the day. i had the sun just out of the top of the viewfinder and that is the effect i got with that. i'll post up the reference pic soon so you can see it.

hehe you're right about the whole idea of the self portrait with the camera,would have changed without the camera.I like the detail of the microscope and its screws on the left.!
