| My name is Terri Lyons. I am a self taught portrait artist and I began my artist journey at the age of nine. Any person or picture that I found inspiration from lead me to the kitchen table, with pencil and paints in hand. It was not long before my family noticed that I could draw exact mirror images. I was encouraged to take an art class in school to perfect my brush strokes, shadowing and form. However, I was asked to leave the art class after one week for refusing to draw a bowl of fruit. Eve ...moren at such a young age I knew art was manifested out of ones inspiration. In my view there is no right or wrong to art, no good or bad; only what inspires. Art works through a much higher plane of communication, with the truth of its content in each line of the face drawn. By perfecting my technique, I created new life-like portraits from my favorite photographs. In addition, I do custom memorial portraits and D.N.A portraits that can be passed down from generation to generation to be cherished by family and friends.
