CASTING ACTORS FOR A FEATURE FILM:Mid-sized budget. Independent feature. Two years of filming -actors needed on and off across 2 years in Kubrick-style film.Once a quarter you will be required under contract to be on location in various places across the Unites States. Because thisfilm takes place over two years and multiple seasons of Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter, you will have to travel. All expensescovered. Total days of shooting per actor to not exceed 75 days (ADR at end of film for soundtrack). 700 day shoot by directorand one DP who is the AD to the project.Budget is $15,000 per lead actor and top billing screen credit. All 8 roles of them men are leads as this is a character-drivenfilm that is stylistically like "To Live and Die in LA" -a William Freidkin film where two characters have the same amountof presence. Example: The "main character" is shot in the face before the last 20 minutes and what seemed like the secondarycharacter carries the rest of the film. This film gives almost equal time to the main 5 leads.SPECIFIC ACTOR NEEDS:37Seargant (MALE)65Special agent in charge (MALE)40Leutenant (MALE)44Homicide unit (MALE)50Local sherrif (MALE)40Chief inspector (MALE)55Captain (MALE)27Agent / Crime Lab (FEMALE)We require headshots and a demo reel showing how you acted or a screen test via youtube where youare reading as a character. We are also looking for 3 female parts -one is a lead, the other supportingcast. No one will be considered without a headshot and a reel.Filming is in:Lexington, KY (Appalachia)Philedelphia, PA (Downtown)Menard, TX (on a goat ranch)Minneapolis, MN (Dead of winter)Up-State, NY (Rochester Area)There is no nudity or sex scenes. There is barely a love story. Female roles are cold and clinic investigators. Nothingin the film that even requires a kiss. The film is like "The Shining" meets "SE7EN" meets "The Tree of Life".National Geographic style cinematography and a sense that we are removed from the characters just enough to let usfeel like we are being carried by them through an investigation. Investigation is not visually graphic, but dialog andimplications that discuss the investigation and prior investigations are intense (but honest). The film is R rated, but that is because of the lingo that investigators use and the cases they describe while workingthrough their issues.Projected screen release -WIDE: 1,200 screens. No profit sharing for the actors whatsoever. Tight budget of $500,000.Contact: BenjaminLocation: Savannah, GACompensation: $15,000 Per CharacterThis is a contract job.Principals only.
