Yes this is a hot spot. We had a massive sighting here about 12 years ago. There was a huge V shaped object with several lights on it hovered over the city for a long time.
It was also seen from border to border when it was on the move

You're right there in the heart of all the activity! My family saw one when I was little, and we were on vacation in Cal., but I was too young to realize how important it was! My parents talked about it for years! Great shot!

If you look closely there is one to the left of the palm tree,midway down as well just above the mountain.

BTW If you click on the pic for the larger version and then hold down Control and press your + key you can blow up the photo and get a much better look at the object.
