Hi Everyone! We are sorry that the contest didn't reach the required number of entrants, so we can't give out the kindle. We are however going to choose a winner and give out $50 famebucks. Thanks for entering!

I gave her quite a few of those votes, just voting for who ever comes up, she came up a lot because she was newer to the contest. My entry rarely showed up, and I entered the 2nd month, only a premium member because I won it for a month.

Look at SherryJordan1's entry, 43 votes and she just entered. Of course it is a beautiful shot.

Plus if you are a premium member it costs nothing to enter.

If someone enters now jacqueeg, they will have another 30 days to get votes. (if they extend the contest) Plus, the new photos seem to come up more in the voting rotation. They could very easily end up in first place!

There are so many good shots here to bad you still didn't get your 20 entries. It does not make sense for anyone to enter after it has been going for so long already

One advantage to having had chemotherapy and a compromised immune system, Janese: I can't touch the dragons because they carry salmonella on their skin. I wouldn't touch them anyway! They give me the creeps!

Kudos to Taltopia...I saw their commercial on TV this week! I thought it was great!

You'r braver than I, katz! I would be scared to death that one of those dragons would get out, and I'd have to chase it down!

I'm told that the dragons shown in my media will grow to about 4 ft. long. Daughter has to find a new home soon, because I am NOT going to have big lizards underfoot. One of them is already close to 2 ft long. I prefer cats or dogs as pets!

Great entry, DawnAllyn! The colors are gorgeous, and I love the way you caught them as they started to take flight!

Lolly, this Yardzilla, or go-anna, measures about 6 feet in length from snoot-to-tailtip, his body a little more than 2 feet long and about 6 inches in diameter. But there are seniors in the clan that are larger, and they all love to swim.

Patrick, how large is that green creature? Great capture, by the way!

I'm in with BACK-YARDZILLA. That blood-red thing in his mouth is his tongue, perhaps a defensive pose as he wasn't afraid of me...at all!

I know what you mean, Kathy. Some of my best bird shots took me weeks to get, and hours in the rain! Anything for the shot, right? lol! Nice job, Kathy!

Thank you Grumsby, & Janese, you can see I work hard for my photos! I do this in the field and in my yard. This one was at my favorite place, Round Valley Reservoir.

I see a bird, I watch it for a few days, see where it goes, and when. Then I sit for a few days more days waiting for the bird to check me out, they get use to seeing you and get curious, coming closer to observe you... snap! Days.....

Kathy, that's a wonderful shot. I find it hard to get good "in flight" shots. What is your trick?

fishpatrick
9/14/2009 7:14 PM
Still, only ten entries. All for naught, then.
