12/18/2009 8:05 PM
So sorry that you lost the original, Denny! I'm glad that you are able to share a copy of it with us though...it's beautiful! Great entries here all around! You all make it hard to vote!

12/15/2009 11:08 AM
Yes, I do have a high-res tif of Split Sky and I am able to sell prints from that. I was sick when it happened. I had 45-50 hours in it and it was a larger piece. The Buffalo Bill Museum wanted to see it which was where we were headed.

12/15/2009 10:56 AM
Denny, I'm so sorry for your loss, I know what I put into my pieces are a lot of time and love. I can't imagine how much you put into yours! But you're able to make prints with your scan right?

12/15/2009 10:54 AM
Thanks Denny and all the Taltopians, I just entered because I had some good response from that piece, it was just a sketch. I didn't think it stood a chance against you all's fine pieces of art.

12/15/2009 10:48 AM
awesome piece Grumsby!!!!!....surprised they didnt make it a postage stamp....would be perfect...my humble opinion of course..

12/15/2009 10:47 AM
Yeah well...still had to break your heart Denny...but ya know??....the world has to be kept safe from art....

12/15/2009 9:26 AM
You got to love that part!!

12/15/2009 9:26 AM
She pulled strings and paid me what I wanted. THe piece was bent straight across the Native American's shoulder. She said that she was going to get it repaired or crop it. As far as I know, it is hanging in the TSA office in D.C.

12/15/2009 9:24 AM
You should have seen the looks on the lady face who was in charge when they realized what they did. Our faces where about the same. They told me that the TSA does not pay for damages. I was working with another lady in the TSA office in D.C

12/15/2009 9:21 AM
The Transportation Safety Admin(TSA) did pay me for it. They insisted I send the hard cover case with the piece it thru their x-ray machine. It got hung up on something in there and it literally bent the case and the art in half...

12/15/2009 6:01 AM
You bet! Congrats on having your piece published! BTW, great win on the last contest Grumsby!! A side note on my entry, the original was destroyed in the Tampa airport on route to Cody, WY. Thank God, I had scanned it just before leaving!
