Description
I don't know how to make so much of a contest out of this, but I guess I really just wanted people to have an outlet to share their thoughts and feelings about that terrible day 8 years ago. Pictures also speak volumes. I feel like everyone remembers...and 8 years later I thought it would be interes ...moreting and respectful to notice the signs/flags/symbols around you this week...the contest might be extended. Again, vote if you want, or not, but we all have different experiences of that day. I will share mine trough comments. less
Requirements
Anyone can enter who is a member and has a story to share, not through comments. Do, please, protect the names of people who are not involved with this site to respect their privacy. Pictures are the encouraged medium. I would like for the pictures to be associated with what you see around you over ...morethe course of this contest, so they need to be recent starting today (9.11.2009). The pictures can be cropped, adjusted by color and contrast...But basically not far removed from the original photo. Capture the moment. I think cell phone pictures would be the best. $20 FANBUCKS to whoever contributes. Please know that this is meant to be respectful and helpful for everyone. Bless you all! less

No one knew anything. I just wanted to go home and I remember seeing my dad and mom and running so fast to get to their embrace. I watched the TV all day. Confused and so scared.

That's where I was...Waiting for the next day as we entered the gym...where I heard the news that apparently nobody knew except our teachers. Classmates claimed it was WW III...

I was a freshman in highschool, the day before I got my braces off. I will never forget how I felt before I knew, couldn't wait until September 12th, my stupid concern as a 15 year old girl. Then in Chapel, we all found out, so afraid, sad.
