LOL@ I'm thinking. Yes I don't mind spiders, but don't want to get too up close and personal with them either.

I didn't know that, Imthinking! Thanks for the info. I thought it was just called a Garden Spider...I called it the Gigantic Garden Spider! lol! It had a massive web!

TY slippery....I am not sure what I would do if I had a tarantula. Probably catch it in a mason jar we have on hand just for such things, and put it outside...hoping it didn't take a liking to me and want to sleep in my bed LOL!

janese not sure if you know it, but your spider is a type of orb weaver...also known as a Writing Spider because of the thick zig zag in the webs they create.

Nice friend Imthinking LOL I used to have a tarantula. They are extremely docile. A wild one crawled in under my door one night, but unfortunately my cat got it before I could grab it and put it back out

That spider shot is incredible Laura. I see a lot of spiders here in Arizona, but that one takes the cake

Charlotte really is in my hand...not photoshopped. She was a very sweet orb weaver that I watched grow up over last Summer. Story on my flickr page.
the spiders here are very lovely ones! Nice shots!
