Artist's Statement:
Complexities that make up the larger world are revealed in small spaces often overlooked in life. I examine such spaces using a macro setting or a macro lens on a digital camera, allowing photographs to be made in which the subject is physically very close to the lens. The result is a magnified view of the spaces, unveiling miniscule details on a large scale. I arrange my images in various grid patterns, forming visual and philosophical connections between diverse spaces ...more. Organizing information in this way exposes the comparative nature of spaces that otherwise may seem to have little in common. Consistency, order, and meaning are found in existence through the exploration of spaces. less |
