In 1973, Morgan Monroe started skateboarding in Anderson, Indiana. He was a member of the Anderson Sidewalk Surfers.
In 1978 He moved to Clearwater, Florida, where he became a fixture at Clearwater Skateboard Park until 1982, when it was closed. His mother understood the importance of skateboarding in her kid’s lives and leased Skate Wave Skateboard Park in Tampa, Florida for a year.
In 1986 Morgan built his first back yard half pipe, beginning his long tenure as the builder of many small qua ...morerter and half pipes honing his skills in erecting a variety of innovative skateboarding designs.
In 1987 he built his first real half pipe that was 16' wide with 10 ' of flat and 8 foot tall with 8' transition.
In 1989 he put together one of the very first vert to mini spine ramps. The deep end was 10' with 12' tombstones, 24' wide, with 18’ of flat , the deck of the deep end side had a 3.5’ mini ramp. The 6 ' mini ramp side of the spine had 8' transition with a bi-level deck.
Pro Bones Brigade Skateboard Legend, Mike "Mc Twist" McGill, asked Morgan to help him with his indoor skateboard park in Oldsmar, Florida.
In 1991 Morgan moved to Cocoa Beach, Florida there he started construction on a new, innovative skateboard park built over a lake on telephone poles. It too, was a spine ramp.
Cocoa Brach is where Morgan got his first real taste of Stunt Modeling, a bug he has not yet shaken. At this point Morgan began taking modeling and acting classes. At the end of 1992 he left Florida for Las Angeles, California to pursue acting and stunt work.
After one of many injuries in 2003, Morgan decided to take a short break and move back to his Florida home, allowing time to mend. In no time, his circle of friends began to call him “HOLLYWOOD” after the place he worked and called home for years. The name caught on fast.
He started networking with old friends from Hollywood by phone and e-mail. Morgan started working on a project called the “HOLLYWOOD Project” with the group called “The HOLLYWOOD Network”; their vision to start producing their own films. Morgan then opened his production company, Monroe Productions International.
Morgan “HOLLYWOOD” Monroe has always felt like the community should be more involved in skateboarding and he works with city skate parks and recreation centers, promoting skateboarding in a positive light.
The HOLLYWOOD Summit Show’s “BATTLE OF THE SUMMIT” 2010 Series is the culmination of two years of numerous competition/shows, the perfect blending of extreme sport and entertainment.
HOLLYWOOD has been hosting skateboard contest sence 1992 and was the 2010 host of the Maloff Money Cup Masters OC event.

Aloha e to you my gnarly new peeps,
My name is Morgan Monroe, and for those who are truly interested in getting to know me, my friend's call me "HOLLYWOOD", I don't know or seem to care why. I am a passionate person and very outgoing. I am honest, trustwothy, loyal, dependable, very affectionate, fashionably late, but making record time, politically aware, independent, sarcastic, intelligent, energetic, highly driven and acstatically interested in life with an electrifying sense of humor. Very self assured but not cocky, most of the time, ok, I'm cocky as hell.... LOL! I an Actor / Stuntman / Model /S.A.G. nothing more than a number. "S.A.G." Screen Actors Guild #00551415. Alot of you think that I am a surfer, that is true but I have a great love for so much more. If there is fear I don't know why, but I just love it. I also own a landscape design company Called Hollywood Design Landscaping That my younger brother and I run in Florida when I can or am in town. We have crew's and landscape new homes and remodel's. We cut over 250 lawns a week aswell. I love the beach. Walking down it or surfing it, I live for it. I enjoy every element of life. Life may be short but if you live it right once is way more than enough time. I give sound advice, but more importantly, I know when to just listen. My hopes and dreams are very important to me, so I take other people's dreams seriously. I have a clear idea of what I want in my life. I want and expect it all. Give it up, or I'll just take it. I expect a lasting connection with you as a friend on every level, mental, emotional, and spiritual. I enjoy the trials and tribulations of everday life. No matter, going out as well as staying in, it's all good to me. I believe you can't go wrong with fun. I enjoy experimenting and discovering different cultures and life styles. I absolutely love to cook and can truly work the kitchen. I can cook authenic styles of foods from the far east Asia to American gourmet and soul food. Sea food to steak or straight up vegetables. Stove top, oven or bbq. AND YES! I DO THE DISHES. I feel "IT'S BETTER TO BE HATED FOR WHAT YOU ARE THEN TO BE LOVED FOR SOMETHING YOUR NOT & It's better to be alone for the right reasons than to be with someone for the wrong ones! If you can't love me at my worst, then you don't need me at my best!" AND THAT IS A FACT! No fear. None. I fear nothing. I am very open minded and am here for your amusement. I love to play and laugh but also have a serious sensitive side. I give 100% in everything I do. Hate to say it, but people that make me yawn or if ethnicity or religion is a problem your looking in the wrong place for a friend, please look elsewhere. I enjoy being around people who are happy and positive. Life is too short to be negative.. If your life is jacked, fix it. It's not going to fix it's self. Please do not contact me if you are merely attracted to my photos. Though this may be a difficult feat in this venue to understand, I am so much more than my photos and profile. I'm a kid inside and proud of it. I very much believe in destiny, but I'm also willing to give fate a good kick in the ASS. Destiny! I have a great imagination that allows me to visualize and create.
