I was born in a small town just north of Jackson, Tennessee surrounded by a family of musicians, so I knew where I was headed in life at an early age.
My mom, Barbara Alan, was part of the St Louis music scene in the 70's working with Nick Nixon, a well-known local country western performer. They opened for Charlie Pride at the Keil Auditorium.
I moved to California in the 80's, and that's where I joined my first band.
From there I moved to Chicago, where I met and worked with some of ...more the best musicians I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Our band Gimmik competed in Chicago's Park District Battle of the Bands, and won first place out of 500 contestants.
My return to St Louis has led to some pretty exciting experiences as well. Opening for Chuck Berry in the Duck Room, and for the Confederate Railroad was quite a treat. less |
