My art has always reflected the Native American. Work, whether it is about race, nationality or economic inequality, to portray it is always a difficult one. It is the struggle and the pride of the Native American that I love to depict. As a son of a Navajo Code Talker and a U.S. Marine myself, I know of pains and sufferings from war, but I also know the happiness of love. I usually work large to emphasize my ideas. Through the use of a minimal palette, simple design, color, loose brush stroke, and even text, I have brought my visions into existence. Inspirations from the history and greatness of the Native American, time away in the service and my own family life have, and will continue to shape my art. | I am filled with excitement and eagerness to share my gift of art. As a student of art, I want to present myself as a positive role model among my family, peers and other Native Americans. With this in mind I am encouraged and persuaded to capture artistic goals and challenge other opportunities.
