Tears Onegirl sits by a window She watches the door Waiting for the handle to turn She is afraid to move for someone may hear her Her face is stained pink red black and blue Just like a white canvas with splattered paint Pink from a fountain Black and blue from a fist Red from a river She walks to a table She picks up her mother who captured in a frame She turns to the window She sees a head light and hears a slam Feet pounding and unfamiliar voices get louder She hides under the table She watches the handle rattle and shake The door bursts open as she silently cries The table falls over
