Description
TREVOR REID is an accomplished musician, composer and singer. He is also the proprietor and engineer of KING WALLEY Recording Studio.
A native of Jamaica, Trevor Reid grew up listening to the likes of John Holt and The Paragons, Sugar Minott, Alton Ellis, Hopton Lewis, Bob Marley and the Wailers, just to name a few. At age 8 he invented his own guitar and would entertain his friends and family members.
By age 11 he was a constant at the King Tubby Recording Studio. With self-determination he formed his first band, The Three Blind Mice, followed by The Impossibles and finally The Water House Band.
By 1980, Reid moved to Montreal Canada, where he still resides. He continued his musical career by playing rhythum guitar and lead vocal for various local bands and backed well known artists from Jamaica, such as; Ken Boothe, Alton Ellis, Sugar Minott, Hopton Lewis, Wayne Wonder, Maytone and Rudy Mills etc... He also open for Leroy Sibbles, Super Cat, Lady Saw, Carol Brown, Yellow Man, The Wailers and Ambalique out of the UK, etc... He has also collaborated with his friend Lynn Tait on several projects.
