Description
this song is about when i was like 18 or so i started working at my present job a theatre and we used to take famous songs and rework them to make funny theatre related songs anywho me and my friend jake cook started a band called motiv and or what i call the the road to aftermath. but the first cd we made that had a bunch of our songs was called life of stormy days well i was trying to seem much darker and angst driven then my current bout of syanide rock. so on the last track i did a voice track i know artist part of the brain took over sorry. and the line i said was every cloud has a silver lining but what if all you have is stormy days so the cd apply was called a life of stormy days. thinking back the voice track was ridiculous cause i gave it to this girl i was obsesses with the one my green guitar ruby sue acoustica is named after. i just imagined her listening to it and being like what a crazy oh well. but to this song so that was like 2003 so its been awhile since i touched the subject or added depth. i was thinking about how i have always loved cloudy days as if that is some inkblot test of my personality. but this songs talks about how there are types of people who always talk about loving when things are all peaceful but seem to always be causing drama and anarcy. and what if its all a matter of perspective have you ever been having a bad day and anything can set you off yet those same problems could occur on a day when your in a good mood and they wouldnt bother you. the songs major question is that of happiness because a happy person can always see the silver lining where as an unhappy person seeks out the next storm it asks a cool question i suppose to some youll just be like this guy likes to sing about storms maybe me and al roker should sit down and write an album about storms jk. i love songs with hidden meanings and good metaphors to work with im trying to keep intensity without loosing control and having similiar sounding solo parts of the songs i even like the sheer simplicity of the chorus almost like the calm before the storm and i like the building up factor almost wanted to add some wind sounds at the first. please tell me what you think it does really help the song writing process aton
