Flight

Writing

Flight inspired to and lived by Richard Cassidy Here I am, moved and brought to tears by your constant show of love and faithfulness; Here I am, weight of the world and stagnation of the soul trying to tear and weight down; Here I am, flying with broken wingsfloating, waiting, soaringthe pain makes me alive. I can do anything; You can do anything; What are the secrets we can't speak? What are pains we can't share? With mouths clamped down shut, flowers wilt waiting for light; Even forest fires bring renewal and new life; see the moths? Dreams of even the oceans on fire and transformed and cleansed. And the clouds float across the sky; And the birds chirp; Are we going through the e You take and stretch out my broken wings, and it hurts; I'm afraid; I'm scared of the unknown; Melt my fear; you are the world I wantheal me, please. Make the world I know disappear; Make the love I want appear; Make the world I need appear. Don't you love how it rains while the sun shines? And the skies pour down torrents and pelt the seedlings reaching for life; And the winds uproot all the false assumptions and ill conceived plans; Don't you love running in the warm rain? Just because I keep making the same mistakes; Just because I fall, flat on my face and break my nose; And the birds chirp; And I get back up and dust myself off; And it's time to get cleaned up; And the clouds float across the sky. The demands never cease, yet you keep them at bay and direct me through all the traps. Is this the world I want? mine? How could I ever have been so selfish and want to control our big fluffy blue planet? You take and stretch out my tired and broken wings, and I scream And I scream because it still hurts and yet somehow in being broken I am made whole.
