The Storm

The Storm It's not just the rain I remember, But how it drenched your hair, your clothes, And you ran inside for shelter. It's not just the lightning I remember, But how it lit your walls, your eyes, And you ran to me for comfort. It's not just the thunder I remember, But how our hearts beat fast, beat strong, And you held to me with passion. It's not just the storm I remember, But how we made love, great love, And the last raindrop fell, And the wind died down, And we lay side by side And talked about the weather. Phillip McKenzie
