While taking photos of the moon, I kept getting this large green orb. It showed up in 4 of my photos...all in different locations, but about the same size in proportion to the moon. It disappeared after 15 minutes. If anyone knows what caused this, I'd love to hear what it is! Thanks!

Brent (he's 14 now) is SO smart and his fave subject is Science... I keep hoping secretly that he'll get into Science even more and maybe one day become a famous Scientist and possibly work for NASA tee hee.. hey I can dream :D!!!

OOOH I SEE that white dot you were talking about!!!! WOW it must be SO neat to know someone w/ NASA!!! My youngest son would have a fit if he knew someone from there lol!!! He is SOOOO into NASA and outerspace that it isn't funny!!!

...here and on FB).. pretty wild how cameras work huh?!!!! :P GOOGLE is a cool tool when yer confused about photography too...u can just about find out anything you want to know :).. HUGS and I enjoyed this slide show!!! :D

OH and I do believe that green orb is some sort of reflection off the lense .... I was able to get a reflection of the actual eclipse WHILE taking a pic of it (got a reg. looking sun plus the eclipse shot off to the side...it's in my photos

if there are clouds present, it lets in less light...and so on :).. maybe turn out lights outside as well (have it pitch black..no porch light, etc..) You captured this better than I could of!!!! WOW!!! :D

and found an awesome page telling me what are the BEST settings on your camera for taking moon shots...but it looks like you did a GREAT job on this one!!! It had to do w/ out much light was being let into your lense :)...sometimes

I know exactly what you are talking about, I have a few shots of the moon where it is GREEN all the way through lol.. has to do w/ the settings on your camera of course :p... I finally googled what type of camera I have
