Pet is the second in the Reflections series.
All the works in the series are done from self portrait photography. The photography stands on its own, but within the painting media there is an entirely new layer of emotions that can be communicated.
Pet is done in vivid colors contrasting with the feeling of the subject matter, which at first seems to be in opposition to the meaning. This intensity of color is more representational of the intensity of emotion being felt.
