This is an original oil painting of a very intimate view of the small crocus flower from my garden. I was roaming around my flower garden with camera in hand one morning and decided to take an intimate peek inside of this gorgeous little bloom. I’ll never look at these tiny little early spring blooms in the same way again after being privy to such intimacy. Everyone should be so fortunate to see these lovely little flowers on such grand scale. The exquisite warm blues and violets contrasted against the dark background have captivated many. The delicate red orange stamens in the center of the flower draw you in to the ecstasy of this bloom and its sensory appeal in a style reminiscent of Georgia O’Keefe.
I feel that art should be uplifting. May you experience a little bit of ecstasy whenever you visit this painting. 20x24 original oil painting on gallery wrap canvas in private collection.
