about accepting things for what they are and coming to terms with it. its a song about trying to realize why the passion you have always had isnt there but sometimes theres no aliby or reason. also about wondering if youll get the passion again the line can i make lightning strike here twice because lightning in nature supposedly can only strike at any one place and never same spot. its fun to play but even sometimes the way i play it goes with the chorus asking where has the passion gone. the title perel eyes comes from the saying the eyes dont lie. and a pun on feeling paralyed sometimes you see yourself making self destructive choices but somehow feel paralyzed against it.
